A Navy FA-18 fighter jet made an emergency landing Tuesday night at MCAS Miramar.
The jet was on its way to the base from USS Nimitz around 9 p.m., when it was apparently ran low on fuel. A spokesperson from MCAS Miramar said the jet landed safely without incident.
The FA-18 aircraft is the same type that crashed in University City a few months ago killing four people on the ground.
