The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said the battery happened in December 2018

Deputies in San Diego’s North County have released a sketch of a man accused of punching a woman in the face in Fallbrook two months ago in what investigators believe was an unprovoked attack.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said the crime happened in December 2018. The man – described by investigators as being between 20 and 25 years old – struck a woman once in the face. The punch caused the woman to lose consciousness and she suffered a concussion.

The battery suspect had been riding in the passenger’s seat of a black sedan. Deputies said he was described as standing around 5-foot-10 and weighing 170 pounds, with a muscular build. He had a goatee and mustache, as seen in the composite sketch released by the sheriff’s department Thursday.

The investigation is ongoing. At this point, detectives are in the process of trying to identify the suspect.
