Police revealed the suspect arrested in Los Angeles yesterday for the Interstate 805 shootings on Monday is 24-year-old Enrique Ayon.
Ayon was arrested yesterday after a driver recognized his car on Interstate 210 in Los Angeles. Witnesses described the vehicle to be a white 2006 Chevy Malibu with license plate 5POM917, which prompted officials to post signs throughout Southern California describing the vehicle.
The multiple shootings on Monday along I-805 injured one driver and another dodged a bullet. Officials closed the highway for several hours on Monday to investigate.
Ayon was taken into San Diego County Jail and will be arraigned on Thursday.
