San Diego sheriffs are investigating a deadly shooting that was reported in Fallbrook Saturday afternoon.
The San Diego County Sheriff's Department responded to the area of the 700 block of Convertible Lane at around noon after reports of gunshots heard in the area.
Once deputies arrived they found a man who was shot and laying in front of a home. Despite life-saving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene, said Lt. Thomas Seiver with SDSO's Homicide Unit.
Details on what led up to the shooting were not immediately clear.
SDSO Homicide Unit is investigating the incident.
