Cub Scouts Make Blankets for Kids in Need

Cub Scout Pack 625 became “blanketeers” for the nonprofit organization Project Linus Sunday, making 25 new, no-sew fleece blankets.

Trevin, a nine-year-old Bear Scout, said “I am excited to help make blankets for kids in need. My family and friends are coming, too, so it’ll be a fun event we can all do together.”

Project Linus will give the blankets to children of all ages zero to 18 to provide love and a sense of security.

Many of the children who will receive the blankets are in local hospitals, infusion centers, and homeless and foster care shelters that house children.

The Poway/Scripps Rotarians, Boy Scout Council, and the San Diego Chapter president of Project Linus were also present to show their support and help.
