Crooks Trash Store, Nab ATM

The suspects were caught on camera

Police were searching for four suspects who drove into a 76 gas station in Kearny Mesa Tuesday morning and stole an ATM.

Officers responded to calls of a ringing alarm in the 3800 block of Kearny Mesa Road at about 4:15 a.m., according to police. When they arrived on scene, they found the convenience store in ruins and the ATM missing.

Surveillance video shows a van smashing into the store, according to police. Three hooded suspects then hopped out, tied the ATM to a chain attached to the back of the van and pulled away.

The fourth suspect was the getaway driver, according to police.
