Rude, Bloody Wake-up Call for Stabbing Victim

A woman knocked on a man's door in Del Cerro early Wednesday, woke him up, then stabbed him several times, police said.

The 48-year-old man was rushed to a hospital after being stabbed in his apartment on Adobe Falls Road.

The suspect is a 50-year-old woman who police say he knows, though it's unclear exactly how well.  Police said he told them she was just an acquaintance, but neighbors tell a different story.

"We have indications from other people that live here it was a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship," Sgt. Ron Glass said.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the attack, but the victim sustained approximately four lacerations to the upper and lower body.

"Injuries are not considered to be life-threatening at this time," said Glass.

Police do not know where the suspect is, but she may have driven away in an older model black sedan.
