Police officers got more than they bargained for Wednesday when they were arresting a suspect and his teenage daughter became violent, police said.
Kenneth Cordova, 50, was cooperating with police arresting him on suspicion of threatening a witness and assault with a deadly weapon when his daughter began attacking them, police spokeswoman Monica Munoz said.
Officers were forced to Taser the 17-year-old after she stabbed one officer in the head with a pen and bit another officer on the arm, Munoz said.
After police subdued the girl, Cordova complained of chest pains and was taken to an area hospital.
The girl and two officers were all sent to different hospitals, Munoz said.
The daughter was sent to a juvenile facility after her treatment.
