A San Diego police motorcycle officer was hit by another driver on Tuesday morning.
The wreck took place at about 8:30 am. on Interstate 15 south near the Interstate 805 interchange.
Investigators said the officer was hit by a Nissan pickup truck after it made a lane change. The driver of the Nissan told officers he didn't see the officer.
The officer did not appear to be injured but was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The driver may be cited for making an unsafe lane change, police said.
