Construction Worker Hit by Out of Control Car

A driver lost control of her car Wednesday morning, careening into a construction worker on the shoulder of Interstate-15 at the Interstate-805 interchange, CHP officials said.

The Caltrans subcontractor complained of aches and pains and was taken to a hospital.

CHP officers say a white Dodge Stratus was driving 65-miles-per-hour when a tire suddenly blew out.

"My advice is to slow down increase your space cushion between vehicles so that you have time to react.  Also, if you experience a blow out avoid braking, just keep a good firm grip on the wheel, slow down pull out of the roadway," Sgt. Tres Polet said.

An investigation is underway, but so far the driver is not facing any charges.
