Can’t make it to Comic-Con this year? Maybe try next year, right? Well heads-up: four-day tickets aren’t going to be cheap; at least not as cheap as they were.
Comic-Con’s website released the prices for pre-registration the 2012 convention showing a slight increase that may have some thinking twice about the way they buy tickets.
Comic-Con goers who planned on attending all four days will be paying $150 next year for adults, compared to the $105 they paid for the 2011 convention.
But that doesn't include preview night. Fans looking for that perk will being paying $175 for tickets, according to the website.
For those who want to attend for one day, either on Thursday, Friday or Saturday, tickets are going to be $40 for adults and $20 for seniors and children.
David Glanzer, Comic-Con’s Marketing & PR director, told comic news blog The Beat that planning ahead doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be saving any money.
“A four-day pass used to be a discount from single day passes as an incentive to buy in advance. Obviously that doesn’t apply any more, " said Glanzer.

According to Comic-Con's website, the price change may be to open up more single-day passes, citing that they hope the change in the four-day discount will encourage others to purchase only the days they'll be attending, thus leaving more badges for others.
Also changing this year is where the pre-registration process happens.
Sales for next year will move to the Manchester Grand Hyatt where pre-registration will be available from Thursday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and only 2011 badge holders will be eligible to participate. You'll only get to purchase one additional ticket beyond buying one for yourself.
Additionally, only a percentage of badges will go on sale at the show, said Glanzer. The rest of the badges will go on sale in the fall when online registration will be open to the public.
In the end, all of this leads us to think about next year's prices after the big rush online. Sellers on Craigslist are offering up two tickets for this year (which would have cost $105 each) at $500.

- 4-day pass without preview night - $150 for adults and $75 for seniors, military and children
- Single-day pass for Thursday – Saturday - $40 for adults and $20 for seniors, military and children
- Single-day pass for Sunday - $23 for Adults and $11 for seniors, military and children
