Comic-Con Tickets on Sale Saturday

Badges for the popular convention available to those who registered

Tickets for entrance to the largest comic book convention in the world go on sale Saturday.

Comic-Con will kick off July 11 and continue through the 15th.

Fans who registered online before Feb. 28 will be able to buy badges. Those fans received member IDs in advance and will officially buy their tickets Saturday.

Tickets for the four-day expo, along with a preview night event, cost $175.

An email sent out to the fans who registered explained the process, which was intended to prevent incidences like last year's, when Comic-Con's website crashed.

"As you know, because of limited space at the San Diego Convention Center we have had to cap attendance for the last few years," the email read. "The new Member ID registration process is an attempt to streamline the process of purchasing a badge and hopefully reducing, to a great number, those who purchase badges only for resale.”

Comic-Con is also offering an early-bird hotel package sale, available on their website.
