Two robberies were reported within two hours of each other in College West early Sunday morning.

Just after 2 a.m., police responded to a robbery near Faber Way and Prosperity Lane, according to San Diego Police Department Officer Robert Heims.

About five to six men stole cell phones from an unknown amount of people, Heims said.

At 4:15 a.m., police responded to an armed robbery near Montezuma Road and College Avenue, said SDPD Officer Sarah Foster.

The suspects had a gun, but it is currently unclear what they took, Foster said.

The suspects left in a white car, according to Foster.

The two incidents were less than a mile apart.
