Colleague Testifies About Teacher's Alleged Sexual History

A colleague of a former fifth-grade teacher accused of having sex with two students took the stand Wednesday.

Adrienne Feistel taught at Rosa Parks Elementary, where the alleged victims were students. She was at one-time the fifth grade teacher of an alleged then-12-year-old victim in the case. Feistel faces 10 felony counts of committing a lewd act on a child.

On Tuesday, her former colleague Cheryl Wyman said she participated in group sexual activity with Feistel.

"That was adults doing adult things, and we talked about it, and it was consensual, and it was planned by Miss Feistel and myself," Wyman testified.

Wyman also told the court that Feistel confided in her about having sexual relations with an alleged victim in the case.

"She would smile and tell me the situation's that, 'Oh, he's in love with me,' " Wyman testified. "And she would say that: 'I love that kid. He's great. He's awesome. I love him. I love hanging out with him. I love him.' "

One of the victim, now a sophomore in high school, will turn 16 next week. He testified Monday that Feistel put her mouth on his penis and asked him to put his mouth on her breast before he turned 13 in December 2006.

The defense told jurors that the victim's mother, Maria Garcia, never called the police to report her son was sexually abused but rather, made the accusations the day that officers were called to the Garcia home to question Maria Garcia about hitting her daughter Brenda.

There’s no physical, medical or DNA evidence to show Feistel is guilty of these offenses, according to defense attorneys.

Feistel was on a leave of absence from the school when the relationship started in 2006, and resigned a short time later. The district would not comment on the charges.
