Lifeguards Rescue 3 From Torrey Pines Cliff

One by one, the climbers were helped up or down depending on their positions on the cliff

Using ropes and a ladder, lifeguards and firefighters rescued several climbers stuck on the cliffs over Blacks Beach.

San Diego Lifeguards said they received a call around 2 p.m. Friday that three people were stuck on the section of cliff just south of the Torrey Pines Glider Port.

One by one, the climbers were helped up or down depending on their positions on the cliff.

The climbers called for help once they realized they couldn't move up or down the dangerous ledge on their own.

There were no injuries according to lifeguards.
