4 Men Rob Circle K, Point Knife at Clerk: SDPD

Police described the four men as in their early 20s

A Circle K store was robbed by four men in Kearny Mesa Sunday morning, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The four first entered the store without buying anything, SDPD said.

Eight minutes later, they returned and robbed the lone clerk, according to SDPD.

A 23-year-old woman was working at the time.

One of the men pointed a three- to four-inch knife at her abdomen and demanded cigarettes, SDPD said.

The clerk gave them “numerous” packs of cigarettes and cigars, according to SDPD.

The four then fled on foot.

The woman was not injured.

Police described the four men as in their early 20s.

Three of them were seen wearing black hoodies with white strings and black pajama pants. The fourth one was wearing a black and red leather jacket, SDPD said.

Officers said two of the men were about 5 feet 3 inches tall.

The incident took place on Balboa Avenue at around 8:45 a.m.

It’s unclear the total loss of the robbery at this time, SDPD said.
