The report of two men running through a Chula Vista neighborhood with a gun prompted Chula Vista Police to search backyards early Monday.
Officers were called to E Street between Broadway and 5th Avenue at 4 a.m.
A security guard reported seeing two men running in the area carrying a weapon.
Two guns were spotted in a car parked near the intersection of E Street and Broadway.
Police searched backyards along Ash and Cedar avenues.
One person was taken into custody, accused of providing a false name to police.
No one was injured and no streets were closed, police said.
