Chatty Bandit Wasn't Hands Free

Apparently it helps to stay connected when robbing a bank

That must have been one important phone call.

A woman with big sunglasses robbed a U.S. Bank on Scripps Poway Parkway Tuesday -- and didn't even bother taking a break from her phone call.

With the phone to her ear, she handed a note to a teller demanding money and claiming that she was carrying a weapon.

Police aren't sure who she was talking to -- perhaps she was getting advice from the Geriatric Bandit, an 80-something man who has hit at least three banks in San Diego in recent weeks -- but she got away with an undisclosed amount of cash (still on the phone).

The chatty bandit is described as about 35-years-old, 5 feet 5, about 140 pounds with short dark hair. She was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt jacket, faded blue jeans, black tennis shoes, a black shoulder bag and oversized sunglasses.

If you have any information please call the FBI (especially if you were on the other line).
