Chargers Sign Draft Picks

Bolts get four of their five new guys under contract

The Chargers start their first rookie mini-camp on Friday morning in Murphy Canyon. As of Wednesday afternoon, everybody but one player is under contract.

The Bolts signed four of their five 2015 draft choices to four-year contracts on Wednesday. Inside linebacker Denzel Perryman (second round), cornerback Craig Mager (third round), outside linebacker Kyle Emanuel (fifth round) and defensive lineman Darius Philon (sixth round) all agreed to a deal.

That leaves first-rounder Melvin Gordon, the impact running back, as the only unsigned player. This is nothing new in the NFL. First round picks are usually the last ones standing but since the league adopted a rookie salary scale we aren't seeing the long holdouts of previous years.
