Celebration of Life Planned for Missing Woman Found Dead

There will be a celebration of life next Saturday for Sally Estabrook, the 75-year-old Fallbrook woman whose body was found last week after she went missing from a campsite in Julian.

The celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Dec. 13 at Riverview Church at 4980 Sweetgrass Lane in Bonsall near Highway 76.

Suffering from Alzheimer's disease, Estabrook, the mother-in-law of Megadeth frontman Dave  Mustaine, disappeared from Pinezanita RV Park & Campground in October. Her body was located in some shrubbery near the campsite eight weeks later, according to authorities.

ASTREA and search teams from Riverside and San Bernadino counties had combined efforts to locate her, but she was ultimately found by a passer-by.

Eastbrook's husband said he is thankful to the media for helping in the search for his wife.

Authorities confirmed the body of a woman found near Julian is that of missing Sally Estabrook who disappeared nearly two months ago. NBC 7’s Bridget Naso spoke with Estabrook’s husband and one of her best friends.

"Sally was a remarkable woman. She truly was," Bob Eastbrook said. "It was just my honor to have her in my life and we spent 30 years together and I will miss her so much."

Her exact cause of death is still unknown, but foul play is not suspected.
