Two suspects carjacked a vehicle in City Heights from a woman on her way home from work Tuesday evening.

A man with a gun approached the 58-year-old woman as she pulled into her home near Marlborough Avenue and Dwight Street at about 8 p.m., the San Diego Police Department said.

The woman left her car, a white 2015 two-door white Honda Civic, briefly to open the driveway gate. As she returned to her vehicle, the man pointed the gun at her and jumped into her car, SDPD said.

The man, described as a man in his 20s to 30s standing at about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds, drove off on Marlborough Avenue. The man had short blond hair, was clean-shaven and was wearing a black sweater at the time of the carjacking.

He was followed by a second suspect in a white vehicle, SDPD said. No description was available of the second man.

The suspects have not been located. SDPD Robbery detectives were investigating.

The woman was not injured, SDPD said.
