One woman was injured Wednesday in a serious accident at a major intersection in Lakeside.
Chris McComb, 33, told NBC 7 his work vehicle was struck just before 8:30 p.m. as he traveled west on Mapleview Street near the intersection of State Route 67.
McComb said a driver, who he described as a woman in her 50s or 60s, ran a red light and T-boned his van on the driver’s side.
"I heard a honk and she ended up crashing into me," he said.
He said he hopped out of his van and the woman appeared to be in a daze.
Several other drivers rushed to help the woman who was sent to a nearby hospital.
California Highway Patrol officers were investigating the cause of the collision.
