A car racing another vehicle on state Route 54 rolled over into an embankment in Chula Vista Monday after taking an off-ramp too quickly, California Highway Patrol said.
The two cars were going about 70 miles per hour on eastbound SR-54 when they attempted to exit using the 4th Avenue off-ramp. One of the cars lost control and rolled over, landing on its roof off the freeway, CHP said.
One person was transported to the hospital with injuries.
