Car Crashes Into Post Office

Black SUV smashes glass window

A car crashed into a post office on Wednesday morning, according to officials.

The black SUV rammed into the Hillcrest Post Office on the 3900 block of Cleveland Avenue just before 12:30 p.m., shattering glass of a large window.

The driver of the vehicle, Cmezana Sedlic, said she dropped off a friend who wanted to mail a package, and when the friend got out of the vehicle she told the driver, "Your car is still moving."

Sedlic went to put on the brake, but by mistake hit the gas pedal.

"I don't know what happened really it was strange," said the driver. "I watch on TV how people do that and they're usually elderly-like people, and I understand and it happened to me I'm so embarrassed."

At that time, employees who would have been working behind the wall where vehicle crashed were out making deliveries.

No one was injured in the incident and a tow truck has removed the car from the post office.
