Brush Fire in Valley Center Contained

Cal Fire said a brush fire in Valley Center was contained.

Firefighters responded to the fire at 3:28 p.m. with bulldozers and two choppers, according to Cal Fire. The fire was located off Woods Valley Road and Valley Center Road.

Cal Fire was calling it the “Woods Fire” due to its location. The rate of spread was moderate because of low fuel in the vicinity.
