Video posted to social media caught the fight on video.

An audience member ran onstage during a concert at a popular concert venue in San Diego's North Park neighborhood Wednesday night, punching the rapper and starting a brawl caught on camera, San Diego police confirmed to NBC 7.

The fight broke out around 9 p.m. at the Observatory North Park on the 2900 block of University Avenue, near 30th Street, police said.

Once the man knocked out the rapper, XXXtentacion, a brawl broke out in the venue between security officers and at least 10 other people, police said.

At some point during the fight, the rapper was taken off stage.

During the commotion, a 19-year-old man was stabbed by an unknown suspect. He was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

There was mass hysteria as more than 800 people rushed the exit the venue at the same time, running to escape the fight.

In one video, a security guard appears to be carrying a man off the stage.

Kevin Rios witnessed the fight and said the crowd quickly got out of control.

"Security was trying to do their job, but when you are three-feet away from the performer, just behind a five-foot fence, it looks like members of the crowd tried to get their hits in too," Rios told NBC 7.
