Boy Accused of $113,000 in Graffiti Damage

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with 262 counts of felony vandalism

San Diego County authorities have arrested a 14-year-old boy they claim caused more than $113,000 worth of graffiti damage, reports our media partner North County Times.

The boy was arrested Wednesday at his Oceanside home and has been charged with 262 counts of felony vandalism.

Deputy Paul Michalke says the boy was released to the custody of his parents and he could face time in juvenile detention if convicted. His name wasn't released.

Authorities contend that the boy tagged his name on utility boxes, signs and fences in Oceanside and Vista.

He was arrested for similar offenses two years ago.
