Bomb Threat Sends Scripps Ranch HS Into Lockdown: SDUSD

Scripps Ranch High School was placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon due to an investigation into a bomb threat, according to the San Diego Unified School District.

The lockdown lasted for about an hour as SDUSD police investigated a threat with the assistance of the San Diego Police Department, a district spokesperson said.

The nature of the threat was not disclosed but the lockdown was lifted at about 12:40 p.m. and classes resumed as normal.

Before the lockdown was lifted, the school district tweeted, "At this time there is no plan for early dismissal or reason for parents to come to the campus."
