Police said the bike belonged to Seau's friend and was stolen from Seau's garage on May 7, after his death

Oceanside police have recovered a bicycle that was stolen from Junior Seau’s garage after his death.

According to police, a suspect somehow got into Seau’s garage on May 7 around 2 p.m. and took a beach cruiser that belonged to Seau’s friend.

The unique bike was described as a grey beach cruiser with chrome fenders and 140 spokes in each wheel.

On Wednesday, a woman called police after spotting the bike parked near a storefront on the 600 block of South Coast Highway.

Police confirmed the bike was, in fact, the stolen bike from Seau’s garage and said the man who had the bicycle claimed he bought it from another man on May 8.

The person who sold the man the bike is described as white male in his late 20s to early 30s, 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighing 180-pounds.

Police are now searching for that man.
