Soccer fans may remember the fuss about 1904FC, a professional soccer team franchise for San Diego proposed eight months ago.
The United Soccer League announced this week it will award franchises to six teams and San Diego was not one of them.
The team was slated to have a match in March as part of the North American Soccer League, but NBC 7 Sports previously reported how those plans were delayed by legal troubles.
Then, word this week that the team did not get accepted into the USL.
The club had planned on using USD’s Torero Stadium for its matches.
