Casino Robbery Suspects Arrested

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with multiple armed robberies

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with armed robberies, one on Sept. 16 at Ben Bridge Jewelry in Mission Valley and the other on Nov. 9 at the Barona Casino in Lakeside.

Ryan McKnight, 24, and Robert Chavira, 40, may have been involved in a series of robberies throughout the last few months, including a couple jewelry store thefts that occurred in October.

McKnight was in a vehicle being driven by Chavira when he was arrested. Both McKnight and Chavira are on active parole and were arrested and booked into county jail for parole violations.

After the arrest, police found evidence that suggested the pair was involved at the Barona Casino robbery.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the San Diego Police Department.
