Woman stabbed repeatedly in Mission Valley park

The suspect is a 46-year-old male who is believed to have fled the scene in a teal Honda sedan, according to SDPD

There is an attempted homicide investigation underway in Mission Valley near one of the baseball fields at Sefton Field Park, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The call came in at around 6:15 p.m. Saturday, and the victim is described as a woman who was stabbed multiple times in the head and leg. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital and her injuries are described as stable and non-life threatening, according to SDPD.

The suspect is described as a 46-year-old male. He is believed to have fled the scene in a teal Honda sedan, according to SDPD Lieutenant Mike Kellington

SDPD's Domestic Violence Unit is now investigating, and police say that there is no public safety risk at the time.
