ATM Robbed From Moneytree

An ATM machine was stolen from a Bay Park check-cashing business early Wednesday morning after thieves jumped a parking lot marker and crashed a vehicle into the glass storefront, San Diego police said.

The robbery was reported 4:20 p.m. at the Moneytree on the 3000 Block of Clairemont Drive, detective Gary Hassen said.

Thieves, the description of which were not available, knocked the ATM off its base and dragged it away, Hassen said.

No vehicle description was released.

A Moneytree employee said the store is operating Wednesday under regular hours.

The broken-glass region of the store was boarded up after the robbery.
