Man Arrested in City Heights Homicide

A man was arrested and booked Tuesday on suspicion of murder and attempted murder for a shooting in City Heights almost seven months ago. 

Andrew Brown, 28, was taken into custody at University Avenue and 39th Street, San Diego police said.

Brown was identified as the suspect in the shooting death of Kenneth Williams.

Williams, 31, was one of two men shot on Friday, December 15 at 7:25 p.m. on 41st Street and Central Avenue, east of Interstate 15. 

Williams died from his wounds at the scene, police said. The second victim was taken to a nearby hospital. 


Brown was scheduled to be arraigned in court on Thursday.
