A student reported an alleged attempted assault near Point Loma Narazene University, the school reported to students in an email.
The alleged assault was reported to have happened off-campus at Moana Drive near campus Thursday, the school said.
The student filed a report with the San Diego Police Department (SDPD), according to PLNU's Department of Public Safety.
"PLNU followed the lead of SDPD in its response to this concerning matter," the notice sent to the PLNU community read.
Officials reminded students to walk or jog in pairs.
No other information was immediately available.
