All Lanes of SB I-15 Reopened at Lake Hodges After Deadly Wrong-Way Driver Crash

A man who drove onto Interstate 15 going the wrong way died after colliding with two semi-trucks, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision happened at around 12:40 p.m. when the 78-year-old male driver drove northbound onto southbound lanes north of West Bernardo Road and hit the two trucks.

The driver was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The southbound side of Interstate 15 was shut down until around 3:30 p.m.

The driver's identity has not been released.
