‘AJ Show' Finds New Home

Beloved radio show host will join new station next week

Former Star 94.1's radio disc jockey A.J. Machado will once again wake-up radio listeners in San Diego with his popular show, "the AJ Show."

The show will be featured on Energy 103.7, a top 40 radio station beginning Monday Sept. 10 from 6 to 10 a.m., according to the station's spokesperson.

In July, Machado announced he would be leaving Star 94.1 to find a different radio station.

"Unfortunately I will no longer be waking you up on Star 94.1. Last Friday was my last day on the air and Hula has left the station as well," he posted on Facebook. "I am grateful to Clear Channel for the opportunities they have given me and I wish my many friends that remain with the company all the best. I am off to find a new radio home and I hope to be a part of your mornings again soon."

Machado is well-known for his cheery morning disposition and his annual toy fundraiser during the holiday season.

After a request for comment, he contacted NBC 7 San Diego saying he was unsure what the future holds for him and his producer Hula Ramos.

Ramos will also join Machado at 103.7, a CBS Radio station.
