Actress Mira Sorvino's husband Christopher Backus has been released from jail after spending a few nights behind bars.
The couple spent some quality time in San Diego over the weekend, although Backus spent part of it in a downtown jail.
Backus was arrested after he allegedly got into a confrontation with hotel guests at the Hyatt Regency Islandia on Saturday, police said.
According to the celebrity website TMZ - guests complained of hearing a loud argument between Backus and Sorvino over "poor time management skills."
One hotel guest said Backus was walking around with a baseball bat yelling at hotel staff and guests. Police eventually booked him into the county jail for misdemeanor drunk in public.
Often people are simply taken to a downtown drunk tank, but if too combative or argumentative, police say they are booked into jail.
San Diego police said Backus was released from jail at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Since it is a misdemeanor, there's a good chance Backus will not have to appear in court in person.
Police say along with the couple - three children were present in the hotel room at the time of his arrest.
Sorvino and Backus have three children together.
