Worker Finds Man's Body In Apartment

Autopsy Planned On Body

Just 10 days after a man moved into his new apartment, his dead body was found inside, police said.

The incident happened Monday around 3:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Fourth Avenue. 

An employee of the apartment building called police to report a dead person in one of the units.  Paramedics confirmed the man’s death at scene, according to San Diego police. 

The homicide unit was called to the scene because the man's death was "unclear," police said. clear. Detectives interviewed neighbors and found out the 53-year-old man had only lived in the building for 10 days.

An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday.

The man's name has been identified, but his name was not being released until family members are notified.
