Woman Shot in Head Expected to Survive

Police said victim was shot intentionally

A woman was shot in the head last night in Lincoln Park, according to San Diego police.

The victim was shot outside of an apartment complex last night at the 200 block of Euclid Avenue. The male suspect ran away on foot, but has since been arrested. Police recovered the weapon and the suspect is in custody.

Police said the pair knew each other. The female victim in her 20s was shot intentionally. The shooting was not gang related, but circumstances leading up to the shooting are still unknown, according to police.

Despite being shot in the head, the victim is expected to survive. She was breathing and conscious while being transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital.
