A driver returned to the scene of a crash after side-swiping a pedestrian in Pacific Beach Monday evening.
Police say a car hit the woman near Grand Avenue and Ingraham Street just before 7 p.m. She was not in a crosswalk.
Initially the driver took off without checking on the victim, so police classified the case as a hit-and-run.
However, the driver soon returned, explaining he didn't think he had hit anything or anyone.
The woman suffered minor injuries in the crash.
