Woman Chasing After Chihuahua Struck by Trolley

The woman was running after her dog near W. Ash and Pacific Highway

A San Diego woman trying to catch a runaway Chihuahua ran straight into the path of an oncoming trolley.

The little dog got away from its owner near Ash Street and Pacific Highway around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The owner, a 35-year-old woman, ran to the trolley tracks at the same time the trolley arrived according to police.

While the dog may be okay, the woman was sent to a nearby hospital with facial fractures and a broken wrist.
