An 18-year-old in Fallbrook is accused of giving her 16-year-old sister LSD, causing her to overdose, after the woman called 911 and said the girl was "having a bad trip," sheriff's deputies said.
The woman, Danielle Hensley, was booked into the Vista jail on suspicion of furnishing a controlled substance to a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and child endangerment.
Her younger sister, under the influence of LSD, was hallucinating and "creating a disturbance" at a friend's Fallbrook home early Friday morning, sheriff's deputies said. She was assaulting others in the home and caused a scare among those there, according to Sheriff's Sgt. David Pocklington.
Deputies were called to the home in the 3000 block of Overland Trail just before 1:30 a.m. Friday. Hensley had called 911 and told authorities her sister was "having a bad trip on LSD," Pocklington said.
The girl was taken to the hospital for treatment of an LSD overdose, and deputies investigating said they determined that Danielle Hensley had given her the LSD.
Pocklington said the 16-year-old was in stable condition. He described the situation as a serious incident.
"What people have to realize is that you can be held liable for providing a location or substance to minors or unintended consequences," he said. "Fortunately, the juvenile didn't die."

The sergeant said deputies are still determining where the 18-year-old obtained the LSD; it's not a drug they commonly see on the streets.
