A 24-year-old woman was shot to death Friday at her apartment complex in Oceanside.
The Oceanside Police Department (OPD) said they responded reports of a shooting victim at the complex on Los Arbelitos and found the woman wounded outside her apartment.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and gave her treatment but she died at the scene, police said.
OPD said a person of interest not related to the victim was taken to the police station for questioning. OPD could not detail the relationship between the victim and person of interest further.
The victim's identity has not been released.
