Witness Records 3 Men Fleeing from Broad Daylight Jewelry Store Heist

Three men made off with an unknown amount of valuables Saturday after robbing a San Carlos jewelry store in broad daylight.

San Diego police say the men, masked and armed, entered San Carlos Jewelry on Navajo Road just after 1 p.m.

Once inside the store, they ordered the employees to the ground at gunpoint and began smashing cases.

A witness to the crime recorded the three suspects running from the scene.

Investigators say Saturday's smash and grab robbery is similar but not connected to recent robberies targeting local Jared Jewelry stores.

The first suspect is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build. The second was described as the same height as the first but with a thin build. The third was described as 6 feet tall with a thin build.
