Customs and Border Protection managers shaved their heads, all in the name of charity, on Thursday.
It was part of a national competition among Customs and Border Patrol employees to donate the largest amount of food.
The Warming Up to Giving national food drive gathered 1 million pounds of food locally. The San Diego field office finished first with nearly 30,000 pounds, due in no small part to the Otay Mesa commercial facility, which donated more than 16,000 pounds of food.
Three managers agreed to shave off their hair completely as a show of gratitude for a job well done.
