Wildland Fire Involving Four Structures Burns in Santa Ysabel near Lake Henshaw

The 25-acre brush fire near Lake Henshaw has been fully contained, firefighters said Friday.

Cal Fire officials said the fire started just before 11:30 a.m. Thursday on the 27000 block of State Route 76 near Moretti Junction near Santa Ysabel to the northeast of San Diego.

California Highway Patrol officers said parts of SR 76 and State Route 79 have been closed near Lake Henshaw.

Two witnesses to the fire said it started underneath a chicken coop and took out two small storage structures nearby. Cal Fire said one was a residential building and three were out structures.

Cal Fire sent a full response both on ground and on air but is now releasing the air tankers working on the fire.

There have been no injuries and no word on what might have caused the fire.
