Four San Diego students have been diagnosed with whooping cough, according to the county health department.
The cases include students from Riverview Elementary, Lakeside Middle, Laura Rodriguez Elementary and Park Dale Lane Elementary. The students range in ages 7 to 11.
All of the children who contacted pertussis had received the shot this year.
There have been 113 reported cases of whooping cough this year, according to the health department. Last year, 400 San Diegans reported having pertussis.
