Westbound Manchester Avenue will close this weekend, June 9 and 10, for repaving, SANDAG said.
The road will close between Interstate 5 (I-5) northbound off-ramp and southbound on-ramp from midnight Saturday until 3 a.m. Sunday. The on- and off-ramps will remain open.
Bicyclists and foot-traffic will also remain open but will be flagged through the area.
Construction crews will pave Manchester Avenue during this time.
SANDAG said lanes will be briefly narrowed after construction is finished Sunday morning.
Drivers will be detoured through the I-5 and Birmingham Drive in the meantime. Signs and directions will be posted.
For those attending the San Diego County Fair, a detour has been created for shuttle use and off-site parking at MiraCosta College's San Elijo campus.
