Wanted Suspect Targets Elderly Women

Authorities are asking for assistance from the public to help them identify a woman suspected of identity theft.

On June 2, 2011, around 2:30 p.m., detectives allege a black woman distracted a 81-year-old woman with various questions while at a San Marcos CVS Pharmacy and stole the woman's wallet and then left.

The elderly woman credit cards were then used to make $2400 worth of fraudulent purchases and to get a $1000 cash advance.

Detectives believe the suspect committed the same crime against two other women, ages 65 and 85 in San Diego and La Mesa, stealing about $6000.

The woman is described as a Black female adult, about 50-55 years old, 5’3”-5’6’ tall, heavy set (180-220 lbs), shoulder-length graying hair, and large gaps between her front teeth.
